Are you really interested to learn Spanish or are you among those who already know a lot about the language yet you would want proof that you are really fluent in Spanish? Then read on and know more about the DELE, the official accreditation of your degree of Spanish language proficiency!

DELE or the Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera or the Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language is indeed the official accreditation that a non-native Spanish speaker needs to acquire in order to be certified that he or she is proficient with the Spanish language. The DELE is issued and recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of the country of Spain. The institution that organizes the exams is the Instituto Cervantes while the University of Salamanca is in charge of the preparation, correction, and final evaluation of all the DELE tests.

The DELE tests are divided into three different levels that depend on the language level of the test taker:

The Diploma de Español (Nivel Inicial - B1) is for those who are in the intermediate or mid-threshold level in their knowledge of the Spanish language. This level of the DELE exam certifies adequate knowledge of the Spanish language to be in control in circumstances which need a basic use of the Spanish language. It is a test divided in five parts: reading comprehension, written paper, listening comprehension, grammar and vocabulary, and the oral exam.

The Diploma de Español (Nivel Intermedio - B2) is the DELE exam for the high-intermediate level exam takers. This exam accredits the exam taker’s fundamental comprehension of the Spanish language to allow communication in daily situations which don’t involve particular terms. In order to obtain this diploma, the test taker must take the reading comprehension, written paper, grammar and vocabulary, oral exam, and listening comprehension tests.

The Diploma de Español (Nivel Superior - C2) is a superior level exam of the DELE and recognizes an advanced proficiency of the Spanish language allowing communication in all circumstances that require the advanced use of the Spanish language and knowledge of the cultural background of the Spanish language. Written paper, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, oral exam, and grammar and vocabulary are the tests needed to be taken in order to achieve this diploma.

Why should you bother about the DELE? If you are planning to learn Spanish or to improve your fluency in the language, or if you need accreditation or proof to show to prospective schools or employers, the DELE is an internationally recognized certificate! You can take the DELE exam in various countries in the world that offer the exams and the DELE has indefinite validity! So what are you waiting for? Learn Spanish and take the DELE!

<img src="http://i40.tinypic.com/2rh1t8j.jpg" alt="Begin Learning with Spanish Verbs" title="Begin Learning with Spanish Verbs"/ style="float:right;margin:3px"/>In most Spanish language school, people complain easily about how difficult it is to learn Spanish verbs since they have to be conjugated. But what they don’t recognize is that English verb forms are similar in a lot of ways to Spanish verb forms. By conjugating, it means matching the correct form of the verb that is consistent to the person of I, you, we, he she, it or they. Nevertheless, English words need to be conjugated as well and that’s what people need to understand. By and large, it works similarly when you study Spanish, only it’s different and difficult because it is Spanish, a foreign language.

There is one difference though, and that has something to do with the diverse forms of pronouns in the Spanish language. When learning Spanish verb forms you’ll realize that I, we, you, and they have special verb forms; while it, he and she have another form of verb. But then, take note that these forms of verbs are based mostly on standard endings which is another thing that makes learning Spanish verbs easy. Once you identify with the endings it is easier to apply them in the infinitives.

The infinitives are generally the basic verb forms. English verbs have infinitive forms although most people are not conscious about it. The infinitive in English begins with the “to”. On the other hand, infinitives in Spanish are definite and single words like, “tener,” which means “to have”. If you start off with learning these infinitives, it will most likely guarantee you a better start with learning Spanish verbs.

While you study Spanish, you’ll find out that some words are different. Similar to irregular English verb forms that are conjugated to “you are”, “I am”, “she is”, “they are” and “we are”. Because these verb forms are unlike the regular infinitive with endings, they comprise the irregular verb. When you study Spanish, you will understand that verbs follow a similar pattern. As for the verb ser in Spanish, the verb forms are yo soy, tu eres, ella es, nosotros estamos and ellos estan, and these are all irregular forms of verbs. The final cluster of forms you need in order to really learn Spanish basics are the verb tenses. And that is something you need to jump off from here to learn more and thoroughly.

It simply has its own way of inducing passion for an avid learner. If you prefer online learning over the traditional, you will find that the efforts required of you from online study compared to traditional study vary significantly. Plus, it makes learning more fun and more rewarding. Well, these seem to be the basic notions we get from the idea of online learning and they always prove true. Perhaps you might also like to know the importance of learning Spanish, when you can get by knowing just English. Well, it does have a number of points why it is so. Basically, Spain is an astounding country, I bet we all know that. In the future you may have the chance to pick a foreign country to visit and will probably choose Spain for instance, which is likely. It greatly helps if you know how to speak the local language as you take the time off your life exploring the beautiful country. It is unfulfilling being unable to communicate effectively in a foreign country simply because you are unable to speak the local tongue. If you will just give yourself a chance you will find that there are actually many reasons to have to learn Spanish. It is truly an incredible experience to be able to speak and understand the language of others and engage yourself into a different culture. Also, it puts you a little above the edge. While most people are contented with knowing just their mother tongue and English as the second language so that puts you elevated enough, don’t you think? In the end, whatever is your reason for wanting to learn Spanish, if you consider taking an online Spanish course instead makes it all the more enjoyable and easier. And you will be encouraging yourself to learn more as you become more interested, and this takes all the difficulty and frustration that you will probably get often from learning in textbooks. Along with online reading, you will be gaining better understanding with the added assistance of audio lessons or by other usable software. In fact there are many tools that you can surely utilize online and will serve you great help to your Spanish course. And the best thing is that you can learn right where you are and in a place that gives you best comfort. Ultimately, there are actually many different learning styles that are effective in different circumstances.

<img src="http://i44.servimg.com/u/f44/11/74/66/71/school11.jpg" alt="A good language school" title="A good language school" / style="float:left;margin:3px"/>In the past century schools are not very important to our ancient people, as long as they can eat three times a day, well that’s enough for them. But we admire them even though they didn’t study languages but they can understand each other. People before are very clever unlike today in our time. We cannot just talk to other countries without knowing there language. But we are not that very dull because we really try our best to find a way that we can communicate other countries through learning there languages. Our governments build some school where we can learn and study some basic language. Teachers are there to educate us and give their best effort just to teach us. Schools nowadays are very important since it is a gateway of having a better life sooner or later. Without schools we can’t even write our name or speak our own language. Though there are a lot of schools everywhere; even in the highest part of the country still we can see few schools operated. And a lot of teachers are willing to teach dangerous places especially in the mountain just to educate native people for them to compete people from the city. Through the help of our government and some missionary volunteers our native people from the mountain are now learning the modern culture we have.

The best way to learn about a culture (and the best way to learn a language) is by mixing with native people. Your language school should encourage this, organizing social events. A very reputable language school is famous for its Tapas Tours - students can pay 6€ and be taken round various bars of the city, sampling local dishes. This is great because not only do the pupils get to meet each other and interact outside of the classroom but they can also talk to teachers (who are Spanish natives) in a much more relaxed setting. However, let us point out that one should not rely on a language school to organize a whole trip! You have to have initiative too. Why not organize a games night, playing the “juegos de casino” of Spain whilst practicing Spanish and having fun? Quiz nights are also great ideas as each question can prompt discussion - the best language learning tool! If you can manage it one year, try and convince your family to go on holiday soemwhere to practice your foreign language, maybe a holiday staying in some Buenos Aires apartments for example! Just whatever you do, make sure you do it with enthusiasm!

There are a lot of schools today especially language school for people who are interested to learn different languages. Like English language school in Dublin, if you are taking up language class in this particular school everything is possible. Ireland is of a top destination for foreign students to learn English language. Since Dublin is a friendly place where foreign students can study well with the help of there approachable teachers. The Irish College of English, this school offered a variety of courses including English language, General English and Business English. They have full time class in morning and part time class in the evening. There students are engaged in any communicative activities to develop their ability to speak and read English language. And they are aware on how to deliver an accurate English language. Teachers are given their best effort to help and support their students. And most importantly the school has a huge library with hi-speed internet access where students can use it to help them enhance their knowledge and develop their English skills.

Aside from that, school staffs are all professionals with a good experience in teaching. The school assures their students that they will give their best to teach their students the accurate methods of English language. And school provides their students complete modern facilities to learn the language. And for the teachers in that particular school also have access to the latest technology and visual training aids for language teaching in the classroom. If you want to know English language accurately then why not enroll in any language school to enhance your English skills. It is very interesting to know the different languages aside from your own language.

India may be the world’s largest democracy but to the strictest sense of the word, the United States is certainly the most democratic country in the world. The fact remains that majority of the people in the United States (Caucasian and African-American alike) speak English but because of democracy at work, lobbyists from the Hispanics, the immigrants and the Native Americans are making sure that English must not be called an official language.

Politics may well play an important role here because the Republicans are clearly the conservative ones but the Democrats are the ones who are craving for change. I personally have a line to walk here because as a Roman Catholic, I certainly cannot tolerate their stand on pro-abortion. On the other hand, I do not want the rights of the gays, the Native Americans, African-Americans and the immigrants to be trampled. The idea of making English as the official language in this country does not worry me at all.

After all, we need English to deal with entrepreneurs in this country. It’s not like Canada where half of the people speak English and the other half speak French. So there are lots of children here in the United States who direly need English education. Most of them are Hispanics and the sons and daughters of immigrants.

And that’s when I admire the conservative President Bush to come in. In 2002, he signed into law a landmark legislation called the No Child Left behind Act. The $15-billion Act is aimed to fund massive public education for children of non-English speaking immigrants as well as Hispanics and other impoverished children who cannot afford to pay private elementary and secondary schools here. Of course, this includes acquisition of the English language. And that’s where my admiration of President Bush comes in. Even if he is conservative, he certainly values the minorities in this country.

His wife, whom herself is a teacher prior to being First Lady, has also initiated in her own way the injection of English language acquisition in the education mainstream, not just in public schools but also in private schools. The First Lady, being a private citizen, can easily convince the private sector to have its own counterpart in the No Child Left behind Act. Because of her efforts, the superintendent of Roman Catholic education in Washington, DC, Patricia Weitzel-O’Neill, has initiated massive English language acquisition in her own area. Her practice is now replicated by Roman Catholic education superintendents all over the country. There are 2.3 million students in Roman Catholic high schools nationwide and all of them benefit this English language acquisition method. Because of that, 97 percent of graduates in Roman Catholic schools ultimately go to college. Now isn’t that lovely?

ARE you a farmer who has lots of South American workers? Or are you a farmer who wants to expand your operations into Mexico? Or are you a Caucasian who wants to invest in Mexico as part of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)? Or are you sent by your company for a possible assignment in Spain? Then you may want to learn Spanish this Christmas. There are a lot of Spanish language schools here in El Paso. It’s because El Paso is just literally a stone’s throw away from Ciudad Juarez.

In the first day of your Spanish studies here, you may be compelled to write an essay about your desire to learn the language…in Spanish of course. You will then recite the essay aloud in class. Do not be embarrassed because all your classmates will be adults like you. But if your time cannot permit you enrolling in Spanish class, then you can do so in an online one. There is also what we call as crash courses in Spanish which is basically good for just two weeks only. That’s as good as your Christmas vacation.

Speaking of a Christmas vacation, you may as well spend it here in Spain. But if you come across the Atlantic and you have not reserved prior to reading this, then forget it. All Christmas and New Year flights to Spain as well as hotel suites here have already been booked. But if you have a car and you come down from Portugal or France and you have friends here to stay the week in, then that’s not a problem. Just forget about public transport like trains and transnational buses. That’s just won’t work.

There are a lot of spots here in Spain to learn English. You may do so either in a conventional school or with a private tutor. But if I were you, just hire a private tutor and let him or her be your tour guide around the country too. Just make sure you foot the bills. There are lots of places to tour around the country. If you’re Roman Catholic, it may be interesting to be part of the Christmas rites. Christmas here started early with the first Sunday of Advent celebrated last December 2. Then nine days before Christmas will be a novena of Holy Masses in each dawn. If you are not tired, then you may diligently go to these Holy Masses. Your tour guide will be happy to accompany you because that’s already part of his or her job. Then together, you may want to eat a Spanish breakfast served in eateries in front of the church. Then you can jog together back to your vacation home where your private tutor will teach you more of the Spanish vocabulary.

It’s not just Spanish that you will be learning actually. Spain has lots of dialects such as Catalan and Basque so with your very hospitable Spanish tutor, you can learn these from him or her too.

NOTHING beats learning another language than Spanish. Spain was at the forefront of the world for 500 years, conquering both the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans. Spain is actually located in the Iberian Peninsula but it is so unique because there are lots of dialects spoken there such as Catalan and the Basque. No wonder the former Spanish colonies also have lots of dialects such as the Philippines. In the Philippines, there are such diverse dialects such as Tagalog, Cebuano and Chavacano.

There are many reasons why people are interested to learn Spanish. Spanish is not just used in Spain but also in such countries as Mexico, Puerto Rico and Cuba. All in all, they comprise a total of 21 countries, mostly coming from South America. The Hispanics total about 400 million people making the language one of the official ones used in the United Nations.

Spanish is a Romance language which means it originated from Rome. History also proves that the old Roman language was influenced by German and Frank tribes when they conquered the areas of Europe that were inhabited by these peoples. Today, Spanish can also be considered as a language for romantics and lovers because of the immense popularity of art in its mother country of Spain. If you visit Spain, you will admire the greatness of its architecture which has both Gothic and Moorish influences in it. You will admire the art of flamenco dancing and the art of bullfighting. Its architecture has Gothic influences because the Catholic hierarchies of old want the native people to be immediately lured to Christianity. But it has Moorish influences as well because certain parts of Spain have been conquered by the Moors. These churches were converted into mosques and when they were taken back by the Christians, the Islamic designs were preserved. Spanish too love olive oil. All of these are taken into context and one will surely appreciate learning the Spanish language.

Here in Spain, there are lots of schools that are dedicated to learning the Spanish language, as part of a so called ‘Språkresor’. There are three stages of acquiring the language – the basic, the intermediate and the advanced stage. In the basic stage, students are taught the nuances of Spanish and as the session’s progress, their essays and oral recitations become lengthier. The three stages are worth one academic semester each. Students will be grouped into pairs who will become his or her language buddy for the rest of the six months of the program. You will also have video conferencing with native Spanish speakers who will teach you parts of the language. In return, you will also share your knowledge of English to them.

Other language institutions opt for the immersion program. Included in the tuition, students will have a chance to stay with a native Spanish family for the duration of the course. The students will be joining whatever activities his or her host family will do and whatever food the family will eat. Thus, you will be introduced to such delicacies as chorizo and turron. You will also taste authentic Spanish wine and cherry.
